Type: Quilomene Bar Hafted Knife
Material: White, off-white, clear, and peach colored chalcedony
Size: 2-13/16" Long x 1-7/16" Wide.
Grade: G-10 Quality. Workmanship started with good percussion followed
by several stages of fine bifacial pressure flaking, the stem has
longitudinal thinning and has light grinding to form.
Provenance: Found near the Columbia River on private land located
between Priest Rapids and Vantage in Kittitas Co, WA by Norma Berg
during the 1940-50’s. This collection reportedly contained several
thousand artifacts stored in well over 100 frames. In the Fall of 2011
the Berg Family consigned the collection to Jim Bennett.
